A delegation comprising professor Xiaoyun Li, professor Qiang Dong and Associate Professor Wenjie Zhao from China Agricultural University, China along with the representatives from FAO made an official visit to the Office of Vice Chancellor, Tribhuvan University, during which productive discussions were made with Vice Chancellor of TU Prof. Dr. Sushil Bajracharya on the subject of reinforcing cooperation in fields such as education, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. During their visit, members of the delegation met with the officials of the university, including Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Science Prof. Dr. Dubinanda Dhakal and Department Head of Rural Development, Dr. Suman Kharel, and discussed the possible areas of cooperation, including research cooperation, faculty and student exchange program, technology transfer, capacity building activities, and collaboration in the field of industry-academia partnership. In addition, the delegation also visited the Business Incubation Center of the Tribhuvan University, where discussions were conducted on the promotion of rural entrepreneurship, value chain development, business incubation, and startup activities. Prof. Dr. Tara Bhusal and Associate Professor Dr. Pramod Paudel had a brief discussion about the activities at Business Incubation of Tribhuvan University. The meeting was coordinated by Dr. Huma Neupane from the Research Directorate, Office of the Rector. The meetings at various levels concluded with a commitment to transforming the discussions into actions and establishing a long-term partnership that promotes research, entrepreneurship, and cross-cultural exchange.
